Volleyball Falls at ODAC-Rival Randolph-Macon, 3-0
ASHLAND, Va. (9/20/09) -- Jessica Sears had 12 kills on .429 hitting to lead
Randolph-Macon College to a 3-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win
over visiting Guilford College Sunday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets
improved to 12-1 (2-0 ODAC) with their second win in less than a week over
Guilford. The Quakers slipped to 5-7 (0-2 ODAC) with their fourth loss in a
row.
Brittany Freeman paced the Quakers with seven kills with just one error in
16 attempts. She also added a solo block and two service aces. Taylor
Phillips had 13 assists and Bethany Hawks made 16 digs for Guilford.
Mallory Carter added nine kills and Savanna Love served up six aces for
Randolph-Macon, which downed the Quakers in straight sets Sept. 12 at the
Greensboro College Volleyball Tournament.
Guilford returns to action Wednesday (9/23) at league-rival Lynchburg
College at 6:30 p.m.
