Volleyball Rallies From 0-2 to Defeat Meredith in Five Sets
RALEIGH, N.C. (9/10/09) -- Courtney Kozar put away a career-high 20 kills and Taylor
Phillips added 43 assists as Guilford College's volleyball team rallied for
a 3-2 victory at Meredith College. The Quakers dropped the first two sets,
25-19, 25-13, but rallied to win the next three sets, 25-13, 25-20, 16-14.
Kozar had four kills and Phillips added eight assists in the decisive fifth
set.
Guilford moves to 3-3 with the win, while Meredith drops to 3-3.
The Quakers return to action Friday (9/11) at Greensboro College's
Tournament when they play the host Pride at noon and Salem College at 4:00
p.m.
