Volleyball Release (2004) - Parsio Leads GC to Win - Guilford College

PARSIO LEADS GUILFORD VOLLEYBALL TEAM TO FIRST WIN OF 2004

Winston-Salem, NC -- Senior hitter Mackenzie Parsio (Galena, OH/Big Walnut) matched her career high with 20 kills and added four service aces and two digs to help visiting Guilford past Salem, 3-1, Tuesday night in a nonconference volleyball match. The scores of the match were: 30-16, 30-26, 28-30, 30-9. The victory ended the Quakers (1-4) four-game losing skid and dropped the host Spirits to 0-5.

Junior hitter Mandy Myers (Sharpsburg, MD/Boonsboro, NC (Hagerstown CC)) added nine kills for the Quakers. Seniors Kendra Harvey (Lynchburg, VA/Heritage) and Rhonda Rogers (Liberty, NC/Southern Alamance) paced the defense with 13 and 12 digs, respectively.

Coach Glenda Dellinger's club plays Meredith and Lynchburg this Friday afternoon in a tournament hosted by Greensboro College.
