Athletic Training - Guilford College
Kirsten Schrader was named Guilford's second head athletic trainer June 14. She replaces Mary Broos, who retired in May following 30 years in the position. Click here for the full release.
Broos, who will continue as an instructor in Guilford's sport studies department, was honored May 24 in an on-campus ceremony and an endowment fund has been created in her name. Click here for the full release.
The Guilford College Athletic training staff covers the Quakers' 16 intercollegiate sports. The make-up of the Athletic Training staff includes four certified trainers, two of whom have full-time athletic training responsibilities.
At Guilford College a certified athletic trainer covers all home contests, and the team doctor also covers most home contests.
