Athletics Secretary - Wendy Smith
Wendy Smith has joined Guilford’s athletics department as its new secretary. She took over for Susan Doss Jan. 5 when Susan accepted a position at Greensboro Day School. Wendy works alongside Athletic Director Marion Kirby on the first floor of Alumni Gym and handles a variety of tasks that keep the department running smoothly. She has previous experience working with Marion in a different capacity, as he coached her Page High School track team.
A graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, Wendy has a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a concentration in public relations. Her prior work experience includes time at Greensboro College where she served as the Director of Conferences and Events. She has also worked at UNC Greensboro as an SAT preparation course instructor and has experience in sales, marketing and public relations.
Wendy married Michael Lamb last March. She has two children, ages nine and five, and the family resides in Greensboro.
