Quakers Score Four Second-Half Goals to Down Bridgewater, 4-1
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Rookies Freddy Gomez and Ronny Castellanos both scored a goal and an assist to lead Guilford College's men's soccer team to a 4-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory over visiting Bridgewater College Saturday afternoon.

The Quakers (7-3-1, 2-0 ODAC) won for the fifth time in six games. Bridgewater falls to 1-9 (0-3 ODAC).
After a scoreless first half, Jeff Floyd got the Quakers on the board
off an assist from Gomez in the 47th minutue. Midway through the frame
Castellanos scored from close range off a Chris Day assist for a 2-0
Guilford edge. Gomez added his team-leading ninth goal of the season in the 82nd minute off a Castellanos feed. Hugh Griffis closed out the Quakers' scoring two minutes later.
Ryan Morgan scored for Bridgewater with 1:10 to play. Jack Bottoms made 10 saves for the Eagles in goal. Guilford's Jonathan Shine made two stops in the goal.
The Quakers are back in action Tuesday (9/29) at league-rival Washington and Lee University.
