Men's Soccer Release (2005) - Guilford Falls to Hampden-Sydney 2-1 - Guilford College

 

      Hampden-Sydney, VA (10/14/05) -- Greg Smith scored just under five minutes into the match and Bobby Hillmann tallied with just under five minutes left in the match to give Hampden-Sydney a 2-0 men's soccer win over Guilford in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play Friday. The Tigers (9-5-3, 4-3 ODAC) are ranked 10th in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of American/adidas Division III South Region Poll.

      Hampden-Sydney outshot Guilford (5-6-3, 1-5 ODAC), 17-8, and kept the Quakers without a shot on goal. Matt McCall and Zane Campbell split time in goal for Guilford, with McCall making four of the team's seven saves.

      The Quakers host league-rival Bridgewater Oct. 18 at 3:00 p.m. on Haworth Field.
