Guilford's Harrison Lands Preseason Lacrosse Honor
Greensboro, N.C. (12/4/07) -- Inside Lacrosse Magazine included Guilford College senior Tyler Harrison among its top-90 men's lacrosse students Tuesday. Harrison earned honorable mention All-America recognition in the publication's annual preseason issue, the Face-Off Yearbook.
A 6-0, 180-pound defenseman, Harrison garnered honorable mention All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honors as a junior. He started all 13 games last season and led the Quakers with 15 caused turnovers. Harrison ranked second on the team with 38 ground balls and contributed two goals on offense, tops among the club's defenders. He enters his senior campaign with seven points (6 goals, 1 assist), 108 ground balls and 48 caused turnovers in 40 career games.
Harrison is one of 23 letter winners returning from last year's 3-10 unit. Coach Andrew Rowe's club plays its first game Feb. 23 against visiting York (Pa.) College.
