GUILFORD FALLS TO #3 LYNCHBURG, 14-6
LYNCHBURG, VA (4/25/06) -- Senior attack A.J. Tinklepaugh scored four
times and added two assists Tuesday as the fifth-ranked Lynchburg men's lacrosse
team defeated Guilford 14-6 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.
The Hornets outscored the Quakers 5-1 in the
first period and netted the first two goals of the second stanza to take a
commanding 7-1 lead. Sophomore Ryan Cranston scored three times, Ryan Quick had
two goals and Johnny Black had a goal and an assist. Three goalies combined to
make four stops.
F.J. Ientile had two goals for Guilford
(4-10/1-5 ODAC) while Todd Bochenek had a goal and an assist. The Hornets
out shot GC 48-16 and won 17 of the games 24 face offs.
Guilford finishes the season 4-10. The Quakers expect 29 letterwinners back for the 2007 season.
