Seniors Warren Brown, Matt Meriwether, Gates Benson, Manny Sargeant and Jesse Gellerson participated in Guilford's commencement exercises May 9. Brown (business management), Meriwether (business management), Benson (health sciences and sports medicine) and Sargeant (criminal justice) earned their degrees in the disciplines listed next to their names.
Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) head men's lacrosse coaches selected Benson to the 2009 Second Team All-ODAC squad, the league office announced May 5. Click here for the full release.
Guilford closed the 2008 season Apr. 25 with a 25-3 setback to seventh-ranked Washington and Lee in the Quakers' ODAC Tournament debut. Guilford finished with a 3-12 record, 1-5 in the ODAC.
