Guilford Ranked 7th in Latest Division III Men's Poll

NEW YORK, N.Y. (3/12/08) -- The second Golf World/Nike Golf Division III Coaches’ Poll of the spring season has been released, combining the resources of Golf World magazine, Nike Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). The complete results, including results from Divisions I, II and the NAIA, will appear in the March 14th issue of Golf World and can be viewed online now at www.golfworld.com.

Methodist takes over the top spot in the Division III poll, earning eight of 18 first-place votes. The Monarchs won both the Old North State Invitational and the Callaway Invitational to open the spring. Methodist has won three tournaments during the 2007-08 season. Rounding out the top-five are Oglethorpe (No. 2), Huntington (No. 3), Gustavus Adolphus (No. 4) and St. John’s (Minn.) (No. 5).

UT-Tyler (No. 9) joins the top-10, after being ranked No. 11 in the previous coaches’ poll.

New to the top-25 is Wisconsin-Eau Claire (No. 15).
