GUILFORD WINS 2005 PINE NEEDLES/PFEIFFER GOLF TOURNAMENT
SOUTHERN PINES, NC (3/1/05) -- Guilford won its second Pine Needles Tournament title in four years. The Quakers also won in 2001. Guilford posted the day's low score in both rounds despite very bad weather conditions. Two Quakers, Colin Clark and Jeff Osberg, tied for the second lowest round of the tournament shooting a two-day score of 148.
Guilford is ranked second in the most recent Precept/GCAA Coaches' poll. Methodist is ranked first.
