Eighth Inning Rally Propels Guilford Over Purchase, 9-6
Greensboro, N.C. (3/16/08) -- David Helms' two-run double in the eighth broke a 6-6 tie and sent Guilford to its third straight comeback win in two days. Brad Buchman slammed his team-leading eighth home run of the year earlier in the inning, which tied the game at 6-6. Guilford sent 10 runners to the plate in the eighth inning to turn a 6-3 deficit into a 9-6 lead. Freshman Wayde Edelman earned his first college victory with three innings of scoreless relief.
The Quakers banged out a season-high 20 hits in the win.
