Baseball - Guilford College

Guilford's Kyle Wooden and Sammy Stuart enjoyed successful summer seasons on the North Carolina collegiate league circuit. Wooden, a rising senior, helped his Kernersville Bulldogs win the Carolina-Virginia Summer Collegiate League title and won the loop's tournament Most Valuable Player Award. He hit .393 over 41 games. Also a rising senior, Stuart posted a 1.06 earned run average in 17 innings with the Statesville Owls of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League and earned all-star recognition.
Former Guilford College coach and teacher Stuart T. Maynard '43 is among 13 individuals to be inducted into the Guilford County Sports Hall of Fame Sept. 20. Click here for the full release.
The Quakers finished 2010 with a 14-23 overall record, 5-13 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
