2009 Graduates

Guilford's Kyle Wooden added all-state honors to his highly decorated season June 2. Click here for the full release. The sophomore became the school's fifth recorded All-American May 20 when he received Second Team All-America honors from D3baseball.com. Two days later he captured Second Team All-America and First Team All-South recognition from the American Baseball Coaches Association. Through games of May 24, Wooden leads NCAA Division III with a school-record .514 batting average. Guilford's Drew Ward was a Third Team All-South pick. Click here for the full release.

Guilford's Alex Starbuck earned Second Team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III baseball honors May 7 from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Click here for the full release.

The Quakers finished the 2009 campaign with a 19-19-1 overall record, the team's most wins since 2006. Guilford's .348 team batting average is a school record.

After a stint with the New York Capitols of the New York State Baseball League, Joe Overby '08 will take his game overseas to play with the Pulheim Gophers of the First Bundesliga in Germany.
