Faculty
The studio faculty at Guilford College are all professional practicing artists who exhibit their work regionally and nationally. They use their own art practice as the basis for teaching students the skills and techniques necessary to help each student develop a personal style and expression. Guilford boasts a casual yet challenging classroom environment, and students refer to teachers by their first names. Faculty also have open office hours to assist art students with any help they may need, and approaching your teacher inside or outside the studio is always encouraged.
Students have the comfort of having an advisor in the art department to help you plan your classes and deal with personal hurdles as you learn and grow as an artist.
