Alumni Invited to Retirement Celebration for Mary Broos May 24
The Department of Athletics and the Office of Alumni Relations cordially invite alumni and friends to a celebration in honor of Mary Broos for 30 years of service Saturday, May 24, from 3-5 p.m. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served as we celebrate Mary's career. Friends are invited to continue the celebration at Solaris Tapas Bar & Restaurant at 6 p.m.
In conjunction with the celebration of Mary's career, Guilford desires to establish an endowed fund honoring Mary as a testament to her hard work and dedication to the college and the field of athletic training. This endowment is to be a comprehensive fund that will create scholarships for students pursuing a degree in sports medicine and provide programmatic support for sports medicine and athletic training within the intercollegiate athletics program.
The goal for the fund is a commitment of $50,000 to be reached by Dec. 31, 2008. For more information click here or contact Karrie Manson at 336-316-2148 or kopalesk@guilford.edu.

Dear DC area Guilford Alumni!
We are pleased to report that the DC alumni network continues to build momentum. We have already enjoyed several successful events, including a tour of the Botanic Gardens, a river cleanup, and several happy hour events. Our alumni e-mail list continues to grow, and we hope that you will continue to encourage your fellow alumni to contact us so that they might be added to the e-mail list as well.
In addition, we hope to see an increase in the number of announcements of personal updates for class notes. You can now submit notes online.
Everyone enjoys reading about their classmates, so don't be shy!
