Requirements
Application
Adult students age 23 or older can apply either online or by completing and submitting a paper application. Note: A $25 processing fee is required for all paper application submissions.
Transcripts

You must submit final and official transcripts from any educational institution you’ve attended since high school, including two-year and technical schools. If you have fewer than 24 transferable college credits from accredited institutions, you must also submit an official high school transcript or official GED scores. Students who are college graduates taking courses for personal or professional interest need only furnish an official transcript from the institution that awarded their degree.

As a service to our applicants, Guilford College will pay for and request transcripts from institutions within the United States. Complete a Transcript Request Form for each college you’ve attended and High School Transcript Request Form and mail the form(s) to the Center for Continuing Education. Your transcripts will be processed upon submission of your application. Schools will not release your transcripts without your signature. For all international transcripts, a World Education Services, Inc. evaluation is required. Please note:  We do not send for official transcripts during the three weeks prior to a semester.

Application Statement
An additional application statement (essay) or interview may also be requested after your transcripts have been reviewed. If you require a student visa, if English is not your native language or if you would like to be considered as a visiting or transient student, there are additional items required for admission. To request instructions, contact the Center for Continuing Education or call 336.316.2179.
