CCE New Student Orientation – Summer
Welcome to the Center for Continuing Education (CCE) at Guilford College!
Now that you have registered for classes you are eligible to sign up for Summer 2013 New Student Orientation! New Student Orientation is highly recommended for all new students – statistics show that students who attend orientation are better prepared for class, less anxious about school and tend to be more successful!

If you are new to Guilford College for the summer, this event is for you:

You will have the choice to attend orientation on Wednesday or Thursday night. You do not need to attend both nights, as the program will be the same both evenings.
The schedule for orientation, regardless of which date you choose, will be:
4:00 – 5:00 p.m. (optional but recommended) – Walk-in help at the Solution Center in Bauman telecommunications building (if you still need to set up your email and Moodle accounts)
5:00 – 5:30 p.m. – Check-in for orientation in Hendricks Hall Lounge
5:30 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. – Welcome and panel presentation
6:15 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Campus tour with CCE tour guide
7:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. – Online learning styles inventory, overview of the writing process and expectations at Guilford College (Betty Place Digital Classroom, Hege Library)
7:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Using the library to write a research paper
8:00 p.m. – 8:20 p.m. – Closing remarks and Q&A
