Requirements
Admission Requirements
You must be at least 23 years of age or already have completed a bachelor’s degree to enter Guilford College through the Center for Continuing Education. Applicants are required to submit an application, official transcripts from all schools previously attended and a $25 application fee, if applying through the mail. If you choose to apply online, the application fee is waived.
Transcripts
If you wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree from Guilford College, you must submit final and official transcripts from any educational institution you’ve attended since high school, including two-year and technical schools. If you have fewer than 24 transferable college credits from accredited institutions, you must also submit an official high school transcript or official GED scores. Students who are college graduates taking courses for personal or professional interest need only furnish an official transcript from the institution that awarded their degree.
As a service to our applicants, we will pay for and request your transcripts. You may submit unofficial transcripts for decision purposes as long as there are no holds on your official transcripts. If you choose to submit unofficial transcripts, complete a printable college transcript request form for each college you’ve attended and a printable high school transcript request form and mail the request form(s) to us at the address below. We will request your transcripts after you submit your application. We require that these forms be mailed to us so that you can sign them. Schools will not release your transcripts without your signature. We only provide this service for institutions within the United States. For all international transcripts, we require a World Education Services, Inc. evaluation.
Please send all transcript request forms to:

Additional Materials
An additional application statement (essay) or interview may also be requested after your transcripts have been reviewed. If you require a student visa, if English is not your native language or if you would like to be considered as a visiting or transient student, there are additional items required for admission. Please call (336) 316-2179 or email cce@guilford.edu to request instructions.
Auditors
Adults who wish to pursue college-level work without receiving grades or college credit may enroll as auditors. These students do not need to complete the application form or furnish the credentials required of degree candidates. Auditors may register on a space-available basis by obtaining written permission from the instructor on a registration form on the first day of the course. Please call (336) 316-2179 or email cce@guilford.edu to request instructions.
