That comment from an enrolling student is common. We welcome your visit throughout the year and will strive to personalize your visit so you may learn about the factors most important to your college search.

Campus Visits

Individual visits can be scheduled by calling 800-992-7759 or via the web.

Campus visits are available by appointment. Students and parents follow separate schedules upon arrival.

Prospective Student Schedule: 90-minute student-led tour and information session.

Prospective Parent Schedule: 30-minute admission counselor-led information session followed by a 60-minute student-led campus tour.

Individual interviews are not required and are subject to availability following the tour. However, students must indicate their request for an individual interview when scheduling their visit by either 1) typing "Interview Request" under the "Academic Areas of Interest" section located in the online "Schedule Your Visit" form OR 2) noting their "Interview Request" when calling the Admission Office to set up their visit (we also offer regional interviews...click here to see if a Guilford Admission Counselor will be offering interviews in a city near you). During the spring semester, visit times are Monday through Friday at 10:00 am, 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm, with the exception of Wednesday, when visit times are offered at 10:00 am only.* Please plan to arrive on campus at least 15 minutes before the scheduled visit time, as sessions will promptly start on time. Schedule is subject to change during holidays and college breaks.** Campus visits are available on Saturdays during the spring semester at 10:30 am only (interviews are not available during Saturday visits). PLEASE NOTE: The Admission Office does not host overnight visits for prospective students.

High school juniors and seniors may attend one class during the spring semester when they visit Guilford (with the exception of Wednesdays, when class visits are not available).* Class visits are offered during the spring semester Monday through Friday at 11:30 am only. We will set up a visit to a typical first-year class for you (you are not guaranteed a class in your area of interest). PLEASE NOTE: If you request a class visit, you must select the 1:00 pm Preferred Visit Time in the online registration form. Please indicate your class visit request by either 1) typing "Class Visit Request" under the "Academic Areas of Interest" section located in the online "Schedule Your Visit" form OR 2) noting your "Class Visit Request" when calling the Admission Office to set up your visit.

*Please note when scheduling your visit:

Campus visits require a minimum of one (1) week's notice. If you are requesting a class visit, please allow a minimum of two (2) weeks notice.

**Important Information Regarding Spring 2010 Campus Visits

  • The Admission Office will offer a limited visit schedule March 8th - 12th due to the college's Spring Break. Weekday visits WILL ONLY be available during this week at 10:00 am and 2:30 pm, except for Wednesday, when visits WILL ONLY be available at 10:00 am. Class visits WILL NOT be available during this week. Campus visits WILL NOT be available Saturday, March 6th and Saturday March 13th.
  • On Friday, February 26th (the date of our Guilford and G.U.S. open house program for admitted students), the Admission Office WILL ONLY offer the 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm regularly-scheduled visit times for students not participating in the Guilford and G.U.S open house.   • On Friday, April 2nd and Friday, April 9th (the dates of our Spring into Guilford open house programs for admitted students), the Admission Office WILL ONLY offer the 10:00 am regularly-scheduled visit time for students not participating in Spring into Guilford.   • The last day to schedule a class visit for the spring semester will be April 9th.

Open House Programs

Guilford and a Game (Admitted Students ONLY)

We invite admitted students to join us for an afternoon of Guilford and a men's basketball game! Take an optional campus tour, attend an information session with Vice President of Enrollment Services Randy Doss, participate in a student panel discussion, and watch the Guilford Quakers take on Lynchburg College. Check in at Bryan, Jr. Auditorium at Frank Family Science Center.

Admitted students are invited to visit campus and take a campus tour, participate in a student/faculty panel, and attend the student research presentations at the Guilford Undergraduate Research Symposium (G.U.S.). Spring into Guilford (Admitted Students ONLY)

We invite admitted students to visit the campus (or come back for a second time) to learn more about the Guilford experience during one of our Spring into Guilford Open House programs. These select Friday afternoon programs offer a student-led walking tour of campus, time to chat with current students, and informational sessions on academic and extra-curricular opportunities.
