You will also receive a room key, telephone information and a Student ID and will have a chance to check in with the folks from health services, parking services and college work-study. You must check in on your arrival date in order to be officially "present" at the college.

Along with a college welcome by President Kent John Chabotar and other members of the Guilford community, there will be time for you to settle into your room, for your family to meet college administrators and advisers, and for a campus tour.

CHAOS
New Student Orientation (CHAOS): August 19-24, 2009
CHAOS is mandatory for all new students entering the Guilford College community. Please plan accordingly.
CHAOS (Community, Health, Advising and Orientation Services) is your bridge to the first semester. During CHAOS, you'll get settled into your residence hall, spend time in small group discussions and activities, find out about campus resources, and focus in on some key issues for living in community: cultural diversity, learning styles and differences, and personal responsibility and decision-making. By the time CHAOS is over, you'll recognize familiar faces on campus, be clearer about your academic and personal goals and feel more confidence in yourself as a member of the Guilford community.
