Now that you’ve been admitted to Guilford, the fun begins! As you decide which college is the best fit for you, we hope that you’ll take some time to learn more about the Guilford experience. Navigate our web site, file the FAFSA, note important deadlines, and read our blogs. If you haven’t already done so, we encourage you to visit our campus.
File the FAFSA
Be sure to submit the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Guilford’s FAFSA code is 002931.

Important Deadlines for First-year Students
Once you’ve been admitted to Guilford College
As soon as possible but no later than May 1, pay the $400 enrollment deposit to reserve your spot in the class of 2013. To pay your deposit by check or money order, send payment to:

** If you decide not to attend Guilford after you submit your enrollment deposit, the deposit is refundable if the request is received in writing by May 1.
Once you’ve submitted your enrollment deposit to Guilford:
April-May
Online course registration and housing registration begins for students after they submit their $400 enrollment deposit.
May 31
Student Health Form due.
June
Online course and housing registration continues.
June 1
Start arranging to have your final transcript sent to Guilford College.
June 28
Summer Orientation for New Students.
July
Student bill for the fall semester due.
August
New Student Orientation and Fall 2013 classes begin.
Important Deadlines for Transfer Students
After you pay your enrollment deposit (due June 1):
- Please complete the online housing form, for either on-campus or off-campus living. You must register for housing in order to receive the correct statement of charges for the Fall semester.
- Arrange to have AP score reports sent (if applicable). We do not give you credit for AP scores based on another school’s transcript. We must have the official score report sent to Guilford.
- Submit your student health form. You must submit this form prior to registering for fall semester courses.
- Contact Thayle Heggie (theggie@guilford.edu) with updated contact information (email and cell phone number) for the summer. We won’t be able to email you important information if your old school email address gets cut off in the summer and we don’t have a new one.
July
Student bill for the fall semester due.
August
