NOTES:
There are no special admission/retention requirements for a major in Sociology/Anthropology. However, if a student cannot accumulate a GPA of 2.50 or more in the major, he or she should consider the possibility of being in the wrong field, especially if he or she is performing better in another discipline.
Students would do well to have categories of careers in mind as they move into and through the major. This will enable advisers to help with the selection of specific courses that will best fit students to work in particular categories.
