History

Major Course Work

For a description of the History major, see the Guilford College Catalog.

Students may take one historically based course taught by a faculty member outside of the History Department for the major, provided that the History Department approves it for the major in advance.

NOTES:

Students may satisfy certain Foundations (Historical Perspectives), Explorations (Humanities), and Explorations (Intercultural, Social Justice/Environmental Responsibility, and Diversity in the U.S.) courses in their History major. The History Department strongly recommends Study Abroad and Internships; students should speak with their History advisors early about these programs.
