Major Course Work
A minimum of eight courses (32 credit hours) above 102 is required for the major. German 202 (Intermediate German II) is a prerequisite for all 300-level courses, and one 300-level course is a prerequisite for all 400-level courses. At least one 400 Seminar course is required. The optional Senior Thesis does not replace the Seminar. Major coursework may include Intermediate German I 201; Intermediate German II 202; Contemporary German Culture 310; German Youth Culture 311; Advanced German Composition 312 (Munich); Culture and Society: The Weimar Republic 320; Seminar 400 (repeatable); Independent Study 260, 360, or 460; and Senior Thesis 470.
