CCE Advising & Evening Course Registration
Registration for Evening Courses
The evening course schedule serves the needs of working adults. Priority for evening enrollment will be given to CCE students, but some Main Campus students will be enrolled in these evening classes on a *space available* basis. A specific number of spaces is allocated for Main Campus students in required courses in majors and in courses fulfilling general education and distribution requirements. Additional spaces may be made available after CCE Check-In each semester. Adviser approval is necessary for students (Main Campus or CCE) to enroll in the 8-week Fast Track courses according to the criteria outlined below.
Description of Evening Course Options
Note: No classes are held during Fall and Spring Break.
Fast Track
There are two Fast Track sessions during the Fall and Spring terms, each lasting 8 weeks. The first Fast Track is prior to semester break, the second immediately after the break. Students registering for Fast Tracks must ensure that they are free to attend class on the designated Fast Track additional class on a weekend morning. Fast Tracks meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. for eight weeks. The final exam may be scheduled during the last class period. Students in Fast Track courses are expected to be academically strong, to organize their time well, to attend class regularly with assignments completed, and to do considerable out-of-class preparation in order to make optimal use of the limited eight-week period. Regular attendance is essential. No students will be added to Fast Track courses after the second class meeting.
Criteria For Admission To Fast Track Courses
All students (Main Campus or CCE) seeking to enroll in Fast Tracks must be certified by the faculty adviser signing the Registration form as having completed a minimum of 24 credit hours of approved college work, fulfilled the English 102 or Historical Perspectives requirement, and be in good academic standing. Advisers of Main Campus students with sophomore status should monitor their class attendance and progress to ensure that they are using the time well.
