11:30 -- 1 p.m.Arrival at Guilford
Campus Life Office, 2nd Floor, Founders Hall
Come to the 2nd floor of Founders Hall to begin your check-in process. You will receive your welcome packet, room key, student ID, and parking and vehicle registration information. If you are a commuter, you will want to delay your arrival until 12:30 p.m. This is also an opportunity for families and students to ask any questions they might have, get information on campus services and find out the necessary information to get settled in at Guilford College!

1:30 – 2:30 p.m.  Transfer Student Small Group Session
Boren Lounge, Founders Hall
Join Assistant Director of Admissions, Thayle Heggie and Director of New Student Programs, Jen Agor who will answer all your questions about Guilford and what you need now that you’ve arrived.

2:45– 3:45 p.mQuantitative Literacy testing
Classroom  202, Bauman Hall
Complete testing for math skills placement. 

5:00 -- Dinner On Your Own
Use the gift certificates included in your welcome day packet to enjoy a dinner out in Greensboro with your family or new acquaintances.

Log into your account for the first time, learn how to navigate Lotus Notes.  Those who need Foreign Language testing will remain.


11:00 – 1 p.m. Lunch in the Caf.
Cafeteria, Founders Hall (main level)
Use your new ID for lunch in the cafeteria. (For those students on a college meal plan)

1 -- 4 p.m. Academic Orientation for New and Transfer Students (Mandatory)*
Room 223, King Hall

Academic Honor Code and Judicial Procedures Orientation
Receive your Guilford College handbook and review the Academic Honor Code and our judicial procedures with the Associate Academic Dean, Steve Shapiro and Associate Dean for Campus Life, Bill Woodward.          

Advising and Course Registration (Mandatory)

After Associate Academic Dean Steve Shapiro outlines the Guilford curriculum, you will meet with your academic adviser and register for courses.

*Note: All new and transfer students MUST attend this sessionin order to register for classes today during this time.
