Greece--College Year in Athens Program

Since 1963, the College Year in Athens program has been offering students the opportunity to study classical languages, art and architecture, philosophy, and other disciplines in the capital of Greece. CYA offers a substantial academic program of junior-level coursework augmented by study-travel to important sites. CYA offers a complete orientation program, student support services, and various co- and extra-curricular activities. Students live in residential apartments in the Kolonaki and Pangrati areas of the city with ready access to sites, monuments and museums, as well as grocery stores, cafes and restaurants, bakeries, banks, and other amenities. Students walk about ten to twenty minutes from their apartments to the Academic Center where classes are held. While not required, classes in modern Greek language are strongly encouraged.
