All applicants are eligible for need-based financial-aid, but exceptional students may also receive a merit-based award. Members of the Theatre Studies faculty recommend these awards to the Dean of Enrollment based on an assessment of potential and innate talent as determined in an interview. Applicants with an interest in performance should prepare two (2) contrasting monologues of no more than two (2) minutes in length each: one (1) classical and one (1) contemporary. Designers, directors, technicians, and writers should prepare a portfolio history of their work. Interviews are typically held on Thursdays or Fridays, and must be arranged in advance to accommodate the faculty's schedules and the applicant's visit. Interviews usually last approximately thirty (30) minutes, and may involve a dialogue consisting of suggestions by the faculty, and self-reflexive responses by the applicants, either by performing their audition again, or by a thoughtful dialogue regarding their portfolio.

If you have not already done so, please fill out the questionnaire. You might also want to come see a special "Preview Performance."
