Internships
Though it is not a requirement, most of our students do at least one internship while
they are Guilford students. Over the years we have established ongoing relationships with
some agencies in Greensboro or nearby towns, and we are happy to help arrange internships
in new settings based on students' interests. Internships can be done during the academic
year (typically as the equivalent of one course, for four academic credits), or during the
summer. Students who do their internships during the summer often arrange to do them in
their hometowns, so we have had students doing internships not only in and around
Greensboro but in Washington, Atlanta, New York or Akron, Ohio. Here is a short list of
some of the settings where psychology majors have done internships in the past few years
(unless another location is indicated, these were in Greensboro).
