Guitar Statement of Purpose
Guilford College offers many opportunities for all guitarists ranging from elective courses to a music major or minor. The college offers a strong guitar program within a liberal arts setting, and also benefits greatly from the larger Piedmont guitar community. The Piedmont Guitar Society sponsors many concerts and master classes both on campus and in the surrounding area. Guilford guitarists enjoy numerous solo and ensemble performing opportunities including recitals, master classes, receptions, teas and coffeehouses. Guilford strives to challenge each student to fully develop his/her potential both as a guitarist and a whole human.
