Student Body
The JPS program consists of 87 students who declared their major to be JPS or Criminal Justice or Community Building. Forty-five of these students are full-time day students. These students represent twelve states and the District of Columbia. As of the beginning of Fall '99 the staters represtented were: Connecticut (2), Delaware (1), Florida (3), Georgia (5), Maryland (1), New Hampshire (1), New York (5), North Carolina (14), Ohio (1), Pennsylvania (6), Virginia (4), West Virginia (1), and District of Columbia (1). Fifty-six percent of these students are male.
The JPS program is alos offered in the evening and at present there are 42 JPS majors enrolled in this program. All of these students live and work in the Triad (Greater Greensboro Area). Sixty percent of these students women. Many of these students are prsently employed in some aspect of the Criminal Justice System.
