Admission Requirements
Although admission requirements vary for specific schools, most schools of podiatric medicine have similar admission requirements as do medical schools. or see the web page of specific schools for prerequisite courses. Refer to the pre-medicine program for a list of commonly required courses as well as other recommendations for students that are applicable to podiatric medicine.
The Standardized Admissions Exam
The Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) is required by most schools of podiatric medicine. A few schools will accept the general test of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) in lieu of the MCAT.
