I came to Guilford in 1997 to teach. I enjoy teaching Guilford students because they are both sophisticated and enthusiastic. They are eager to learn about life in Japan and they are often way ahead of me when it comes to knowing the latest in Japanese pop culture.
Our classes are quite interactive as I believe in giving students many opportunities to practice their skills. I enjoy eating out with my students; practice outside of the classroom is often more relaxed and it is a great way to improve their conversational skills
At Guilford, we have the opportunity to travel with our students and colleagues. Our trip to Japan was a memorable one. It’s very rewarding to watch our students experience the culture first-hand and to see all the pieces of their studies come together.
