Congratulations to the 2007 Honorable Mention for the Udall Scholarship, Malcolm Kenton!

The Zvi Cohen Memorial Environmental Award is given annually to a Guilford student who has shown a deep concern for the environment and a strong commitment to environmental action. The award is in memory of Zvi Cohen, an environmental activist from Greensboro. The Zvi Cohen Award Committee, which administers the award, considers previous and current environmental work, academic performance, the promise of future commitment to the environment, and the quality of the application essay. The award was started in 1991, but on Earth Day 1999 President McNemar announced that the endowment for the award has "matured." Guilford College rewards environmental activism!
