Sandra Winters
Sandra Winters teaches Historical Perspective/The Irish Fight for Independence and Gaelic Roots and First Year Experience/Irish Culture. She also teaches an English 250 course in Irish Folklore. Some of her favorite writers are James Joyce, W. B. Yeats, Brian Friel, Seamus Heaney, Eavan Bolan, Paul Muldoon and anyone Irish. Her focus is on Irish studies, culture, history and literature. She took her first journey to Ireland in 1996 and was immediately taken with the people, the landscape and the ancient history. For the past twelve years she has returned to Ireland several times a year for travel and research. She has also studied at University College Cork. She now owns a house in Millstreet County Cork and spends about four months a year there. In addition to her Irish interest, Sandra enjoys writing and publishing poetry, reading, walking and travel.
