Rod Spellman
Rod Spellman has been a Visiting Instructor at Guilford College since 2005. His academic training came from Valdosta State University in Georgia and the University of North Carolina at Greenboro. He primarily teaches English Composition courses, including an Historical Perspectives course on the 1920s. His academic interests include Rhetoric, Writing, Modern American Literature, Medieval Literature, and technology as a tool for teaching/writing. Outside of the classroom, he enjoys games of all sorts, comics, and wishing he was still in shape enough to fence. He is supported in his endeavors by his wife, Bobbijean, and his son, Sebastian.
Rod's last scholarly presentation was at NCTE in 2008 on wikis and student plagiarism.
