Carol Hoppe
Carol Hoppe has taught English, First Year Experience, Historical Perspectives, and Women’s Studies courses at Guilford for the past 19 years. She lived abroad for seven years in Greece, Germany and Austria before settling in North Carolina. After living near Minoan ruins on the island of Crete, it’s no wonder that her greatest inspiration comes from the ancient world. Recently created courses include Women in Ancient Greece; Great Goddess, Dying God; The Greeks in Love and War; Classics Revisited; Greek Myth, Art and Literature; and The Grotesque in Art and Literature.
