Understand Praxis
In the Education Studies Department at Guilford College, our teacher/learners:
Relate the experiences and ideas they have encountered in the Education Studies Program to their own teaching, allowing them to see that there is continual interplay between theory and practice, each informing and modifying the other (Understand Praxis).
Note: We, the Education Studies faculty, agreed not to create rubrics for this Habit of Mind since we felt that it is our hope that teacher/learners see praxis across all Habits of Mind. We also did not agree on a simple definition of praxis.
