Degree & Credit Programs
Guilford College's adult degree program is the oldest in North Carolina, having served adult students since its founding in 1953. The college's philosophy has been to offer evening majors based on popular demand and course schedules that meet the needs of working adults. Since February 2004, Guilford has had the largest evening bachelor's degree program in the Triad region, offering more than 500 course credits towards a bachelor's degree in more than 150 course sections offered at 6 p.m. or later.

Guilford College offers unique services within the adult degree programs. These include:
- Degrees that can be completed in the day or entirely at night attending full-time only two nights per week
- Small classes that average only 19 adult students/class at an affordable cost
- Endowed financial aid and scholarships specifically for adult students
- Financial Aid Workshops & support to ensure that adult students receive all of the federal aid available
- An easy one-page adult student application
- Free transcript requests submitted and paid for by Guilford College to whichever institutions you specify. You only need to know the name and city of your prior institution. We will find your records, usually even if the school/college is now closed.
- Convenient and ample parking restricted to adults and near your classrooms
- Free nationally recognized networked and online computer resources
- Adult Student Government and other services specifically for adults
