Philosophy majors have gone on to continue their studies in the following programs:
- Ph.D. program in Philosophy at the University of Southern California, followed by a teaching position at Saint John’s College in Annapolis, MD
- M.S. in Environmental Studies, Missoula Montana, followed by position at the NCSU extension service
- Law school (including Elon, Hofstra, University of Dayton, University of Akron)
- Graduate program in Computer Science at Brandeis University
- Research fellow in Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School
- M.B.A. program, University of North Carolina, Greensboro
- M.A. in Creative Writing, University of North Carolina, Greensboro
Cyle Barber ’11 (Philosophy major) is attending the American University School of Law.
Careers
Recent graduates have begun careers in the following areas:
- Bank of America branch manager in Greensboro, NC
- Board Member and IT Specialist at Center For Community Self-Help in Greensboro/Winston-Salem, North Carolina
- Self-employed software designer and consultant
- Several of our graduates have launched successful careers in music
