Infectious Disease Policy
Due to the contagious nature of infectious diseases, it is necessary for Student Health to be aware of all persons with a serious infectious disease. Any restrictions applied to the use of campus facilities or on personal contact will be based upon the individual medical assessment. The Student Health Service is obligated by law to notify the state health department of all cases of reportable infectious disease. Appropriate college officials will be informed upon a need-to-know basis. Individuals who suspect or know that they have an infectious disease should seek medical advice. Individuals are expected to conduct themselves responsibly for their own protection as well as for the protection of others.
