Guilford Peace Society
The purpose of Guilford’s Peace Society (GPS) is to encourage the Guilford community to become more involved in peace-related activities by erasing apathy, raising awareness, and promoting economic and social justice. We plan to meet such goals by bringing awareness to international, national, state, and local issues through activism, speakers, weekly peace vigils, rallies, protests, and fundraisers. We also plan on collaborating with other clubs on campus as well as with other colleges in the Greensboro area to promote peace and increase awareness. GPS aims to foster positive interpersonal relations between people on campus and in the Greensboro community. GPS will be a presence on campus that seeks the prevention and just resolution of conflict.
