Freshman/Transfer Undergraduate Applicants
Financial Aid
Regardless of your family income level, Guilford is prepared to help you afford the benefits of an excellent education. More than 90 percent of our students this year will receive scholarships, grants, work and loans. The first step in financing an education is careful budgeting and planning. The Office of Student Financial Services can help.
Transfer Students
Guide to Transferring
1. Call to schedule a visit with our Visit Coordinator at 1-800-992-7759. You can tour the campus during weekday and Saturday hours during the academic year. There are no Saturday hours during the summer. During the week, you may be able to meet with the transfer admission counselor, Thayle Jackson Heggie. While on campus, you may also want to discuss financial aid with your student financial services counselor. Please let us know if you would like to schedule an appointment with the student financial services department. Appointments with the student finanical services counselors are only available Monday through Friday.
2. If you wish, you may send us your application before you visit. When you apply, please arrange for official transcripts to be sent to Guilford College. Also arrange to have Guilford College added to your FAFSA form if you wish to apply for financial aid. Our school code is 002931.
3. We do NOT grant preliminary transcript evaluations before the application process. If you are interested in finding out how the credits may transfer, please look on our web-site, www.guilford.edu/academics/ at the Course Catalog and general requirements, or inquire when you meet with the transfer counselor.
