    OR
  • What If Analysis
What If Analysis allows you to run a compliance on any major and any minor. For example, if you are currently listed as an Accounting major but would like to change to Mathematics, you will need to use the What If Analysis.
  • Choose the Entry Term from the pull down menu. This is the term you first entered Guilford (this also corresponds to your catalog term). If the term is not available, select the closest previous term. For example: If you entered in Fall 2005 you would select Fall 2004 and click continue
  • Select the program to evaluate (Example Accounting-BS) and click Continue
  • Beside First major* select the major and department
  • Click on the Submit button to run the evaluation on a major without a minor .

  • Click on Generate Request
Note: You can only run a compliance on one Major and one Minor. You will need to run a new compliance for additional majors and/or minors.
  • After selecting Generate Request, there are different displays that you can view:
General (quick overview), Detail (most useful) , or Additional then Click Submit.
Please note that Requirements are listed on the left and actual courses taken to fulfill the requirements are listed on the right.

IMPORTANT:

Student petitions allowing substitutions or exceptions will not automatically show on your Degree Evaluation. The Registrar's Office will manually enter adjustments as they are approved at a later date.

To determine the GPA for your major/minor, view the evaluation in the General Display. Scroll down to the major. Credits and GPA are listed. Disregard credits and GPA under all other areas (whether in the general or detailed display). This is not accurate due to double-counting.

Quantitative Literacy and Foreign Language Placement scores do appear on the Degree Evaluation. If Quantitative Literacy or Foreign Language says “Yes” for met, this means that they have been met by placement test. SATMATH scores of 650 or higher fulfill the Quantitative Literacy requirement.

If you are repeating a course, the repeated course will not appear until the Registrar's Office has closed the term. The term is closed approximately one week after final exams. Once the term has been closed, the course with the lowest grade will not be included on the Degree Evaluation report but will affect the Cumulative GPA. However, both repeated courses will appear on your academic transcript and both grades do affect your GPA. You only receive credit once toward the 128 credits required for graduation.
