Latino Community
The Latino Community Program aims to support Latino/a students by providing academic support and advising, professional development opportunities and personal guidance. The Program also organizes events that seek to educate the Guilford Community about the history and culture of the different Latino/a communities and the current issues impacting the lives of Latinas/os in the U.S.
In addition, the Latino Community Program works within the institution to create an affirming, empowering and inclusive environment for Latino/a students, faculty and staff by assessing institutional practices and recommending modifications to accomplish that goal.
Finally, the Latino Community Program seeks to connect Guilford College to the Latino/a community in Greensboro and beyond through collaborations with community organizations on initiatives to address a variety of concerns.
