Betty Place Digital Classroom
Completed in Spring 2002 and funded by the Friends of the Guilford College Library, the Betty Place Digital Classroom project included installation of a wireless network throughout Hege Library and the purchase of 20 laptops with internal wireless cards. The laptops are available for check out at the Circulation Desk while the classroom now contains desktop computers. Personal laptops of faculty, students and staff can be registered with IT&S to connect to the library's wireless network.

The Betty Place Digital Classroom
The first priority for use of the classroom is for Library Instruction, a service provided by Information/References Services. When reserved classes are not in session, the computers can be used by faculty, students and staff. During the first half of each semester, when the demand for Library Instruction is at its peak, outside reservations for the classroom will be made no more than one week before the date of use. Students and faculty can reserve the classroom by contacting Circulation/Access Services staff at ext. 2450.
