Past Seminars:

The 21st Century Presidency: The Context for Bob Woodward's Work

Led by Guilford Political Science Professors Ken Gilmore and Kyle Dell

Sunday, April 6, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Carnegie Room, Hege Library

The Guilford College Friends of the Library is initiating a new series of seminars open to all. These seminars, led by Guilford faculty members, will give participants a chance to engage in lively discussions of vital issues of the day, a chance to interact with each other and with faculty members, and, hopefully, a chance to learn something of interest!

The first seminar will concentrate on Bob Woodward, who will be presenting a lecture in the Bryan Series on the following Sunday, April 13. We hope that participation the discussion will help us prepare for Mr. Woodward’s lecture and provide us with a scholarly framework for Mr. Woodward’s ideas.

Accordingly, all are invited to participate in the seminar on “Bob Woodward: his Work and his Ideas.” The seminar will be led by Professors Ken Gilmore and Kyle Dell of Guilford’s Political Science Department. We expect the discussion to be wide-ranging – but focusing on the points made in Mr. Woodward’s latest book, “State of Denial.”

We look forward to seeing Friends of the Library members and guests at this informal get-together. There will be refreshments.
