Directions to Hege Library

The following information is adapted from the Guilford website, which is intended to bring folks onto campus near the admissions office. The website still includes useful maps. Remember to get a visitor parking pass to display in your car if you do not have one already. Visitor passes are available at the library circulation desk as you enter the building.

From the West

Take Business I-40 East to the Guilford College/Jamestown exit. At the end of the exit ramp turn right onto Guilford College Road. As you cross West Market Street, the name will change to College Road. When you cross West Friendly Avenue, the name changes to New Garden Road. You will see the campus on your right. At the first traffic light, (about 2.4 mi. from I40), turn right into the campus. Hege Library will be on your left. There are visitor parking spaces immediately after the speed bumps, on the left. If those are full, continue to park behind Dana Auditorium (on your right).

From the East

Take Business I-40 West to Guilford College/Jamestown exit. At the end of the exit ramp turn right onto Guilford College Road. As you cross West Market Street, the name will change to College Road. When you cross West Friendly Avenue, the name changes to New Garden Road. You will see the campus on your right. At the first traffic light, (about 2.3 mi. from I40), turn right into the campus. Hege Library will be on your left. There are visitor parking spaces immediately after the speed bumps, on the left. If those are full, continue to park behind Dana Auditorium (on your right).

From the South on I-85

Take I-85 North to exit 121, Holden Road. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Holden Road (north). Go 5.6 miles to West Friendly Avenue and turn left. After 2.5 mi. turn right on New Garden Road. You will see the campus on your right. At the first traffic light, turn right into the campus. Hege Library will be on your left. There are visitor parking spaces immediately after the speed bumps, on the left. If those are full, continue to park behind Dana Auditorium (on your right).

From the North on I-85

Take Business I-85 South to Business I-40 West in Greensboro (the interstate will split; I-40 is to the right). Take Business I-40 West to Guilford College/Jamestown Exit. At the end of the exit ramp turn right onto Guilford College Road. As you cross West Market Street, the name will change to College Road. When you cross West Friendly Avenue, the name changes to New Garden Road. You will see the campus on your right. At the first traffic light, (about 2.3 mi. from I40), turn right into the campus. From the South on Route 220

Take Route 220 North to Business I-85 South. Stay on Business I-85 South until Business I-40 branches off to the right. Take Business I-40 West to Guilford College/Jamestown exit. At the end of the exit ramp turn right onto Guilford College Road. As you cross West Market Street, the name will change to College Road. When you cross West Friendly Avenue, the name changes to New Garden Road. You will see the campus on your right. At the first traffic light, (about 2.3 mi. from I40), turn right into the campus. From the North on Route 220

Take Route 220 South (which becomes Battleground Avenue in Greensboro) and turn right onto New Garden Road. Stay on New Garden Road past exits to Bryan Blvd. New Garden Road will turn left at intersection with Ballinger and Fleming. Turn left on New Garden Road. You will see the campus on your left. At the second traffic light, turn left into the campus. Hege Library will be on your left. There are visitor parking spaces immediately after the speed bumps, on the left. If those are full, continue to park behind Dana Auditorium (on your right).

From the North on Route 29

Take Route 29 South to Business I-85 South. Business I-40 West (towards Winston Salem) will branch off to the right after a few miles. Take Business I-40 West to Guilford College/Jamestown exit. At the end of the exit ramp turn right onto Guilford College Road. As you cross West Market Street, the name will change to College Road. When you cross West Friendly Avenue, the name changes to New Garden Road. You will see the campus on your right. At the first traffic light, (about 2.3 mi. from I40), turn right into the campus. From Piedmont Triad International Airport

From the airport exit take a right onto Bryan Boulevard. Take the New Garden Road/Guilford College exit. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto New Garden Road. At the third set of traffic lights, turn left (this is still New Garden Road). At the second stop light, turn left into the campus. Hege Library will be on your left. There are visitor parking spaces immediately after the speed bumps, on the left. If those are full, continue to park behind Dana Auditorium (on your right).
