Message to the Faculty about Peer TutorsThe LC offers many different services for all of Guilford's students. Peer tutors are available for your students, no matter what subject. Because of the diversity of the tutors' majors and our training, we can work with your students on any assignment. Our goal is not to help your student make A's, but to work out patterns of error that they might have. We work with students at all levels who have a variety of problems. We do not write papers for students--instead we attempt to focus their papers and ideas. The Writing Studio's goal is to become the "center for consciousness about writing on campus" (Stephen North), but we cannot do this without the support of the Guilford College faculty. We need for you to send us both tutors and tutees. If you would like for us to come talk to your class about the Writing Studio and peer tutors, please call the LC desk at 316-2253.
